Considering the karstified Miocene limestones between Alcaufar and Punta Prima. The karstified carbonates are believed to be a 'reef complex', but further re-appraisal is considered. There are numerous bed forms, a lot of which appear to be caused by organisms burrowing and boring into the sediments.

The Google Maps geological walk through considers that different bed forms, and the karst 'fabrics' preserved within them.
